I am highly qualified as a tutor, of course, through state exams and a meritorious academic record, but also because of my experience in the field. I started out teaching senior British Literature and junior American Literature. After my first year of teaching, I also took on various courses such as, sophomore English, sophomore Honors English, and Credit Retrieval English. With this wide breadth of experience, I feel that I am excellently prepared to tutor for any and all courses dealing with high school English. I am also qualified to do any sort of editing, formatting, and/or publishing of school-wide newspapers, journals, magazines, etc., due to my background in professional editing and publishing.
Furthermore, I have had the distinguished honor of being nominated by my mentor and colleague for the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, which recognizes teachers for the high academic standards they hold for their students as well as the consistent ability to go above and beyond to help students nurture their individual talents.
In addition to my education, experience, and commendations, I am a dedicated and caring professional who feels a great sense of honor in being able to inspire and guide students to develop to their fullest potential. I have been praised by colleagues and students alike for my unending belief and concern in academic success for all students. I am a lifelong learner, and I hope to instill the benefits of such a characteristic into future generations.
