Hello! My name is Sheree L, and I have 17 years of experience in education. I hold the following degrees: M.Ed., M.S. Science, and B.S. Mathematics. My experience in teaching covers Mathematics, Environmental Science, Psychology, English, extended essay writing, and Philosophy. A former Principal and Assistant Principal, I've written and aligned curriculum for entire school districts. For the last 12 years I've trained teachers from all over the world as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Teacher Trainer. I've also taught Math, Psychology, Environmental Science, and Philosophy at the University of Colorado. Additionally, I am a Federal Government Instructor in Cognitive Development & Leadership

With decades of teacher training, and experience in psychology, I use a supportive and transformative approach. I help students develop confidence in their learning style to excel academically & personally. Together we strengthen critical thinking & problem solving, while inspiring curiosity. My approach blends deep subject mastery with cognitive support, growth mindset coaching, & compassionate challenge. I work to make the subject easily accessible and retained by students.

Some of my academic focus areas are Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, AP Calculus & AP Statistics, IB/AP Psychology & Environmental Science, SAT/ACT - English and Math, and Executive Functioning & Academic Mindset Coaching.

We begin with clear learning objectives as well as clear expectations of what meeting those objectives look like. I build solid, professional relationships of trust with students. Students receive comprehensive feedback on how well they've met the learning objectives. Because I've worked with AP, IB, and SAT/ACT; I know what the expectations are. Years ago, I received a 1450 on the SAT. I work to make learning a subject as easy as possible and enjoyable.
