I’m a licensed math and science teacher with years of experience working with students both in the classroom and one-on-one. I’ve taught middle school, high school, and college-level learners, and I enjoy helping students build confidence and understanding in math. I hold bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Secondary Education, as well as a master’s degree in Space Studies. I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Systems Engineering, which helps me bring practical, real-world problem-solving into my lessons.
Over the years, I’ve taught a wide range of courses including algebra, geometry, consumer math, and personal finance. I’ve also worked with students preparing for standardized tests like the ACT and SAT. My experience includes helping at-risk students meet graduation requirements, supporting students with learning gaps, and guiding motivated learners who want to get ahead. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, using a step-by-step approach and encouraging students to check their work and recognize when an answer makes sense—especially in word problems.
I believe math becomes a lot less intimidating when students understand the “why” behind the steps. Whether online or in person (in the Colorado Springs area), I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress. I’d love to work with you to help you reach your goals!
