Hello! My name is Sarah, a 25-year-old college graduate currently living in the beautiful mountains of Colorado.
Although I have little to no background in the professional tutoring field, I come to you in hopes of earning any and all experiences that come my way. I was raised not only by a single-mother of three, but by the strongest, most passionate woman I know: an English teacher.
In 2021, I graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor’s degree majoring in Film Studies and minoring in Creative Writing. I find that the most effective approach to teaching empathy and self-expression is through the watching, reading, and writing of the personal narrative, especially in poetry and short stories. I believe that the power of storytelling, in any way shape or form, can and will influence one’s perspective of humanity while simultaneously gaining an understanding of their own unique and profound role in this life.
As someone who went (and survived!) through school with undiagnosed ADHD (now diagnosed and well-researched on the subject) I would love to work with those who may want support and help navigating the school system while dealing with or without a diagnoses.
