I am a bilingual Spanish and English educator with a Master’s degree in ESL and professional teaching experience in Colorado since 2017. Most of my experience has been working with high school and adult learners, supporting English language development, academic language skills, and Spanish language instruction. My educational background and ESL training allow me to design lessons that focus on practical communication, grammar, reading, and writing, while adapting instruction to each learner’s level and goals.
I have taught in classroom and small-group settings and have also provided one-on-one language support. My approach emphasizes clear explanations, guided practice, and real-life conversation so students can build confidence and fluency. I regularly adjust my methods based on student progress and learning style, using scaffolded instruction and bilingual support when helpful. I also have experience helping learners prepare for academic tasks, workplace communication, and everyday language use.
In elementary settings, I have supported students mainly through bilingual instruction and translation, helping ensure understanding and access to content. Working across age groups has strengthened my ability to personalize instruction and communicate clearly with learners from different backgrounds. My goal in tutoring is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable practicing and steadily improving their language skills.
