Hey! I'm a Certified Special Education Teacher (in ND, CO, NM) with expertise in teaching children with ASD, ADHD, and SLD, particularly Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I am an Orton-Gillingham-trained reading Specialist, holding qualifications as an Associate-Level Practitioner from an accredited institute of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham.

I have been working in this industry for six years now as an Inclusion Specialist and Reading Interventionist and have been doing tutoring on the side. Hence, I have a variety of experiences teaching students ages 3-12 years old. As an educator, I have always been passionate about helping my students achieve their fullest potential as I believe all children should have access to quality education regardless of any circumstance. As such, tutoring allows me to help my students in the most meaningful ways I can.

Moreover, I have also received training in reading intervention programs such as the Read Write Inc, Jolly Phonics, and Colourful Semantics from the United Kingdom which is a great tool to enhance children's understanding of semantics or word meaning, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. I have also earned a National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinator qualification for Early Years from the NCFE Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education (CACHE) from London, UK.

With my experience as an educator, I always believe that learning takes time, and given such information, all children should be working at their own unique pace and they should be celebrated for their achievements. I am a zealous, results-oriented educator with a passion for lifelong learning. But more importantly, I am also an advocate for mental health, giving importance to mindfulness, and putting my student's best interests as my utmost priority. If you want to experience a quality first teaching approach, then schedule a lesson with me!
