ADHD

ADHD

I hold two Special Education endorsements — Special Education Generalist and Special Education Mild/Moderate — along with Master's degrees in both Reading Specialist and Special Education, and 26 years of experience teaching K–12 students with ADHD in 1:1 settings. I've worked with hundreds of neurodiverse learners across the full spectrum of ADHD presentations. As a parent of a child with ADHD myself, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to every session. My 1:1 instruction is tailored to each student's profile and incorporates evidence-based tools including visual schedules, movement breaks, structured routines, mnemonics, color-coding, and fidgets used purposefully as learning supports — not distractions.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

I hold two Special Education endorsements — Special Education Generalist and Special Education Mild/Moderate — along with Master's degrees in Reading Specialist and Special Education, and 26 years of experience providing 1:1 literacy instruction to K–12 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I have worked with hundreds of autistic learners across a wide range of presentations and support needs. As the parent of a 2E, autistic child, I bring both deep pedagogical expertise and genuine lived understanding to my practice. My 1:1 sessions are structured, predictable, and sensory-aware, and incorporate programs proven effective with autistic learners — including Visualizing and Verbalizing for reading comprehension and Write By Numbers for written expression. Instruction is interest-driven, unhurried, and designed to build both skill and confidence.
Dyslexia

Dyslexia

I hold two Special Education endorsements (Special Education Generalist and Special Education Mild/Moderate), Master's degrees in Reading Specialist and Special Education, a Reading Specialist Teacher certification, and a Certified certificate from the Orton-Gillingham Academy (OGA) — one of the most rigorous credentialing bodies in structured literacy. I am currently progressing through OGA's Fellow-in-Training (FIT) process, the pathway to the highest level of OGA designation. I have 26 years of experience working 1:1 with K–12 students with dyslexia, having supported hundreds of students across varying severity levels. My instruction is grounded in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, a research-backed, Science of Reading method, and every lesson plan is fully individualized to your child's specific profile, pace, and needs.
