My areas of instruction as a tutor fall within IT and Cyber Security as well as mathematics. During my career I have worked at a Fortune 20 company, as well as a top 10 small business in the DoD contracting space. I have 10 years’ experience as an IT professional, followed by 12 years of cyber security experience – up to and including being the Director of Incident Response for an international cyber consulting firm responsible for 20 mil a year in revenue, and now 3 years of cyber security advisory experience working for a leading SIEM provider. As for mathematics, I completed college level math myself during the acquisition of my degrees, as well as instructing 4 of my 5 homeschooled children (so far) in math from 1st grade through 12th grade, Algebra, Adv. Algebra, and Adv. Mathematics.
My educational background includes an Associates and Bachelors in Information Systems, as well as a Masters in Internet Security and an MBA with a management focus. I have also acquired a number of certifications over the course of my career including CISSP, multiple GIAC certifications, NSA certs, cloud certs, and more – totaling more than 15 overall.
My previous tutoring experience has been as I teach those who have worked alongside or for me, teaching them new concepts, new cyber methodologies, task-oriented training, assisting them with degrees and certifications of their own through instruction on content, and more. I have taught classroom style, one on one, and online.
