I have worked as an English professor for over twenty years. I have specialized in English composition, both beginning and advanced research-based work in both MLA and APA format. Throughout my years as an instructor and professor, I have also tutored students in the Writing Center of Front Range Community College one-on-one in creating their essays, from brainstorming, composing, to final editing of drafts. The work I've done in the Writing Center was my favorite work because I was able to help the students so much more with my time.
I have also taught composition and ACT and SAT writing workshops through Kumon. I have knowledge of the expectations of these exams and can help enormously with the preparation. In addition, I am bilingual and fluent in German. My mother was Austrian, and much of my family lives in Austria. I have lived in Germany and studied German for years, perfecting my knowledge of its literature with a PhD in Comparative Literature.
I have a B.A. in German and it was my main language in the Ph.D. I received. My mother was Austrian, I've lived in both Germany and Austria, and I still visit relatives in Vienna and speak fluently.
I have taught composition at Metropolitan State University and Front Range Community College since 1998.
