I began privately tutoring in Spanish in 2014, both in-person throughout NYC and through Skype. I have worked with a wide range of age groups, including children, teens and adults. Students choose to work with me to help prepare them for admittance to competitive schools, succeeding at completing their school assignments, preparing for travel, and for jobs which require Spanish fluency. I also taught Spanish in a progressive Brooklyn pre-school for 1 year.

Whether it's homework help, test prep, or writing our own plays and signing songs in Spanish, I work closely with students to meet their goals for language acquisition. I learned Spanish through a blend of scholarly and progressive approaches. After studying the language intensively for 1 year at New York University, I spent a summer in Argentina and several months in Colombia. My travels allowed me to go beyond grammar basics and attain fluency through real conversations with native speakers.

I understood that this immersion was my greatest tool for learning, which is why it's now my greatest tool for teaching. I work hard to make lessons fun, organic and interesting to the unique student. I teach "the basics" and beyond by finding out what's interesting to my students and incorporating that into my lesson plans.
