When it comes to tutoring, I try to stay as far away from boring textbook lectures as possible. I've found that students actually remember the math and the science when it's tied to a story. For example, when I teach kinematics in Physics, we don't just stare at equations on a whiteboard, we figure out how to survive a zombie apocalypse! One day we're calculating distance, speed, and time to map out an escape route, and the next session we'll use that exact same storyline to understand displacement, velocity, and acceleration. Whether we are balancing complex Chemistry equations or exploring Earth Science, I always look for ways to make the material feel real, fun, and relevant.
