Hi there, I’m Ashlee! A multidisciplinary educator and learning designer with more than a decade of experience supporting learners from early childhood through high school. I hold a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Georgia State University and certifications in Yoshimoto Orton-Gillingham literacy intervention, trauma-sensitive teaching, and somatic and mindfulness-based practices. My background includes classroom teaching, one-on-one tutoring, small-group instruction, and personalized learning design across independent schools, community programs, and private practice.
I've taught and tutored students ages 3-18 in reading, writing, executive-function skills, and general academic support. My tutoring approach is relational, structured, and highly individualized. I take time to understand each student's strengths, challenges, and learning style, then design sessions that blend evidence-based strategies with compassionate, strengths-focused support. Whether I'm helping a young reader build foundational decoding skills, guiding a middle-schooler through organization and planning, or supporting a high-school student in developing clarity and confidence in their writing, I tailor instruction to meet each learner where they are. I integrate mindfulness, emotional literacy, and clear, step-by-step scaffolding to help students feel grounded and capable. My goal is to create a safe, encouraging environment where growth feels possible, learning feels meaningful, and students develop the confidence and resilience to take ownership of their progress.
