I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and graduated as an honor student from Colorado College with a degree in Philosophy. My academic background is grounded in analytical thinking, writing development, and clear argumentation, skills that directly inform my tutoring work.
I worked with Just2Tutors for three years, supporting high school and college students in writing and executive functioning skills. In this role, I helped students strengthen essay structure, develop thesis clarity, organize research, and build sustainable planning systems for long term academic success. My work focused not only on improving individual assignments, but on strengthening the underlying skills that make students more independent and confident over time.
In addition to one on one coaching, I have taught lecture courses of more than 100 students at the University of Colorado as an adjunct professor. In these university settings, I emphasized writing process, revision practices, argument development, and critical thinking. Teaching at this scale required clarity, structure, and the ability to support diverse learning styles, which I bring into individualized tutoring sessions.
I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students in both classroom and one on one environments for over 15 years. As a father of two young boys, I value patience, clarity, and the development of long term confidence in learning. My approach is structured yet adaptable. I specialize in helping thoughtful, creative, and big picture students translate their ideas into clear written communication while developing practical systems for time management and follow through.
Sessions are collaborative, skill based, and designed to build long term academic confidence, not just complete assignments.
