Through these experiences, I learned to be sensitive towards the learning needs of the individual and to break down material into easy-to-understand concepts. I also apply the importance of establishing a strong connection with the student and to act as a mentor rather than purely an instructor in the teaching process.
I double majored in Biochemistry and MCDB at University of Colorado Boulder and achieved a 3.89 GPA. I am well-versed with the pitfalls that students often fall into that hinder their academic achievements. In my tutoring, I will review some of the learning tactics that allowed me to be a high-achieving student.
I scored in the 94% percentile for the MCAT and will be attending medical school in the fall. I can review my learning strategies, give my perspective on the exam, and to educate the student on medical school admissions in addition to providing lessons on the material.
