Hi, I am Solei, native from Chile. My love for books and intellectual discussions led me to study Literature at the Universidad de Santiago, Chile. I have a B.A. in Education and Hispanic American Literature.

I started teaching at schools right after graduation, but in 1991 I left the country and moved to New York City. One of my firsts jobs in NYC was at the Spanish Institute Reina Sofia, where I taught Spanish as a second language for several years.
In 1995 I was hired for the position of executive editor at Parents magazine (The Spanish version) and I was responsible for writing, editing, translating and proofreading. After my daughter was born I started freelancing, writing articles for magazines, translating and editing. But teaching has been always a very important part of my life, it became my passion and one of the most rewarding professional experiences. I have been teaching Spanish to people from all over the world in New York, Argentina and online, allowing me to develop new skills as an educator and amazing connections with my students.

I also worked as a Content Writer for the AP Spanish Literature curriculum and exams: led Writing Workshops, and edited and translate short stories and novels. I am very confident of my abilities and expertise in the Spanish Language, and my skills as an educator, always trying to improve my performance to better serve the goals of my students.
