After receiving a degree in Industrial Engineering and working as a manufacturing engineer for three years, I received a full scholarship at the University of Southern California to pursue my MBA in finance. After graduation, I found employment with Societe Generale and was quickly given management responsibilities as head trader of a group of five traders and three clerks in the fast paced Eurodollar options pit at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. My desire to move west led me to Denver, and a job at Charles Schwab. Through hard work, I and one other analyst grew our department into a group of eight analysts that participated directly with senior strategists in formulating Schwab’s weekly market perspectives. Following that, I worked as an independent electronic trader of fixed income products at the CME and CBOT. Then I expanded my knowledge to structured finance as a portfolio analyst at the CDO issuer The Chotin Group. The CDO business quickly dried up, but I was able to further expand my knowledge of structured finance with a position at SunCorp as the Market Risk Manager. I am currently employed as a Financial Advisor with LCM Capital.
I am qualified for and passed CFA, Series 7, 63, and 65.
Anybody can pass if they want to.
