I have been meeting with Steve for the past four months to learn Korean. Steve is a knowledgeable, resourceful, patient, and supportive tutor. He brings a rich understanding of Korean language, culture, and society, as well as his educational background in linguistics, tutoring experience, and a wealth of resources into sessions. The content of his lessons is practical and interesting. He breaks down difficult concepts and answers questions thoroughly. We do speaking and writing exercises which are engaging and interactive. He also assigns relevant homework and readings. He is easy to reach by phone and is prompt with text messages & emails. He is flexible and accommodating in terms of scheduling and meeting location. Great Korean Tutor - Taking Lessons as a couple
We've been taking Korean Lessons from Steve for about 6 months. He's been a great teacher and resource for not only learning the alphabet and language but also cultural lessons. As two adult language learners, it hasn't always been easy to prioritize this new interest but he's been able to accommodate our busy schedules and helped us make continuous progress. We would highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn Korean.

Steve charged me without letting me know.
I'm disappointed. I have a couple of lessons with Steve, and I had to cancel my lesson because of a conflict. He did not inform me he would still charge me for the lesson. If we talked about it beforehand, I would have been open to the conversation, since I had to cancel one hour prior to the lesson. We never found a groove, and our lessons continued to change in terms of our meeting time. Some of that was due to my schedule, but others were when I told Steve I was not available, and he ignored me and scheduled me anyway. I do not think he is a bad at what he does, but when moments like this happen, it's hard to trust someone afterwards.

Being half Korean, he’s helped me understand my heritage more and has incorporated conversations on top of the vocabulary and grammar work to help me be more conversational!
