Hello everyone!
I am a graduate from the University of Delaware, with a degree in Environmental Science and a concentration in Atmospheric Science.
I am a dedicated tutor who brings the same discipline and focus from athletics into every math session. As a competitive athlete, I have developed resilience, time management skills, and a strong work ethic—qualities that translate directly into helping students build confidence and consistency in mathematics. Whether working through elementary math, algebraic equations, or calculus concepts, I emphasizes strategy, practice, and growth.
An example of growth and confidence that I experienced and witnessed was when I had the opportunity in 6th grade to teach a kindergartener how to read. While working with him, I made it a point of breaking down complex words into very simple, manageable steps when he would get stuck. As we had more sessions, I saw his confidence begin to grow, and not only was he reading more at a time without my help, but he would get stuck on words less that may have been a challenge previously.
Just like with that young man and reading, I make math approachable and even enjoyable.
Over time, I have learned students appreciate the supportive, motivating environment that mirrors a great training session: clear goals, steady progress, and celebrating improvements along the way. By combining analytical skill with the determination of an athlete, my goal is to help students strengthen not only their math abilities, but perhaps more importantly, their self-confidence.
