I am a licensed teacher in the state of Colorado with 18 years of comprehensive experience spanning elementary, middle, and high school settings. My professional background includes 13 years dedicated to special education across all three levels, as well as five years teaching fourth grade. This breadth of experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of diverse learning needs, curriculum design, and instructional strategies that support students academically, socially, and emotionally at every stage of their development.

My educational background is equally robust. I hold undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, as well as an undergraduate degree in Communication Disorders. In addition, I earned a Master’s degree in Education. I am Orton-Gillingham certified and hold a certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, equipping me with specialized expertise in literacy development, language-based learning differences, and targeted intervention strategies. I also have experience tutoring elementary-aged students, providing individualized instruction that reinforces classroom learning and builds essential academic skills.

At the core of my work is a strong commitment to student success and well-being. I strive to help students not only achieve academically but also feel confident, capable, and proud of their progress. Known for being friendly, empathetic, and highly organized, I build trusting relationships where students feel supported and understood. Children know that I care deeply about them, and I believe that this genuine connection is the foundation for meaningful learning and lasting growth.
