I am a Professional Research Assistant in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Colorado with more than two years of experience working directly with clinical research data, laboratory measurements, and applied statistics. I am also completing my Master of Public Health in Applied Biostatistics and will graduate in December, which allows me to tutor advanced university-level material in biostatistics, epidemiology, SAS, R, survival analysis, and mixed models. My work involves data analysis, interpreting scientific findings, and supporting large research studies, so I am comfortable helping students bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.
Before working in clinical research, I was a full-time high school science teacher where I taught chemistry, biology, and introductory physics. I also assisted students with organic chemistry and college-level science prerequisites. Teaching students across a wide range of ages strengthened my ability to explain complex topics simply and adjust my approach to different learning styles. I enjoy helping students understand challenging subjects like reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, metabolic pathways, kinetics, and the foundations of physics, as well as supporting them through problem sets, exam preparation, and lab concepts.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and focused on helping students build confidence. I regularly work with high school students, undergraduates, nursing students, pre-health students, and graduate public health students who need support with science courses, statistical software, or interpreting research results. Whether you are struggling with a specific assignment, preparing for a major exam, or trying to understand the fundamentals of a subject, I am here to help you feel more capable and successful in your coursework.
