I’m a certified middle school English Language Arts teacher with over thirteen years of classroom experience. I hold a degree in History and Secondary Education, a master’s in Curriculum and Design, and I’m currently enrolled at Yeshiva University, pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Holocaust Education. I bring that same depth of study and reflection to my work with students, helping them connect ideas, analyze texts thoughtfully, and express themselves clearly.

I’ve taught both in traditional classrooms and one-on-one settings, working with a wide range of learners—from students who love to write to those who struggle to get started. My approach is to meet students where they are, identify what’s really holding them back, and build skills through structure, clarity, and confidence. I believe reading and writing are more than school subjects; they’re tools for thinking and communication that every student can master with the right support.

In addition to teaching, I design curriculum and literacy resources used across my district and mentor other teachers on strategies for supporting struggling writers. Parents describe my style as patient, organized, and encouraging. My goal in tutoring is simple: help students feel capable, understand what’s expected of them, and make visible progress that carries back into the classroom.

United States History

I taught U.S. History for four years and continue to collaborate closely with the eighth-grade social studies team, whose focus is American history. I have a strong background in connecting historical events to broader civic and cultural themes, helping students see how the past shapes their world today. My lessons emphasize critical thinking, source analysis, and historical perspective. I love making history feel personal and alive for middle school learners. I hold a degree in History and Secondary Education, a master’s in Curriculum and Design, and I’m currently enrolled at Yeshiva University, pursuing an Advanced Certificate in Holocaust Education.
