Hi! My name is Nicole. I have been a tutor for over 30 years. I began peer tutoring in high school and continued throughout college. I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where I received my bachelor's degree in Biology. After graduating, I worked for a large Biotech company and tutored off-and-on for several years. When my sons were in high school, I accepted a part-time position with a nationwide company as an ACT/SAT prep tutor. Soon after, I realized that my true passion was teaching, and I returned to tutoring full-time.

During that time, I have worked primarily with high school students on SAT and ACT prep, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, English, and Social Studies. I am lover of learning, and I’ve had the privilege of sharing that enthusiasm with countless students, helping them grasp the intricacies of the subjects I teach, and then witnessing as they truly excel.

My teaching philosophy is centered on breaking down complex concepts into digestible parts, fostering a deeper understanding rather than just rote memorization. I can explain material in multiple ways and tailor the lessons to suit each student's learning style, ensuring they gain the confidence and skills required to succeed.
