Hello! I am a MD in Nevada. I graduated from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in December, 2022. I've been a practicing resident physician ever since. I love putting what I’ve learned along the way to use helping students develop and achieve their academic goals.
My undergraduate education was at Portland State University, where I studied Philosophy, Neuroscience, Psychology, and the Pre-Medical Sciences. Throughout undergrad, I served as a Teaching Assistant and private tutor across all of the above topics. Additionally, I helped kickstart at non-profit organization aimed at providing after-school educational opportunities for local middle and high school students. Finally, I was a live-in nanny for two children (ages 2-7) for two years prior to medical school. In that capacity, also served as a private tutor for both children.
As you can see, I’ve worked with learners ranging from 1st grade all the way through graduate level medical sciences. Each student has unique goals, skills, and learning styles. As such, I tailor my approach to the needs of each student. The first meeting should be about discussing learning styles, successes, challenges, and concerns; outlining a timeline and setting goals. After that, meeting regularly is highly beneficial. In each session, I invite the learner (and/or parent) to share what they think is working well and what could potentially be modified to maximize the benefit of future sessions. Your success is my success, so I’m happy to approach the sessions in whatever way is most useful for you.
