I am a certified teacher with over 20 years of experience working with students in grades 3–8, with a primary focus on mathematics instruction and foundational skill development. I hold advanced degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership, and I have served in multiple roles including classroom teacher, instructional coach, and mentor to new educators. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with students at varying levels, from those who need to rebuild core skills to those preparing for more advanced coursework and competitive academic environments.
My teaching experience includes both classroom instruction and one-on-one support, where I have developed a strong ability to identify gaps in student understanding and provide targeted instruction to address those needs. I use a structured, skill-based approach that focuses on building conceptual understanding rather than memorization, allowing students to develop confidence and independence in math. I have also supported students preparing for assessments such as the ISEE and SSAT by helping them strengthen foundational skills and apply effective problem-solving strategies.
