Hi! I'm Arisa, a certified Japanese teacher from Japan, currently based in California, USA.
I hold an official Japanese teaching license from Japan, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and enjoy learning Japanese. I believe that language learning should be practical, encouraging, and fun.
Over the past year, I have taught more than 500 online lessons to over 30 students from different countries and backgrounds. My students range from complete beginners to advanced learners who want to improve their conversation skills, pronunciation, business Japanese, or prepare for travel to Japan.
My lessons are always personalized to your goals. Whether you want to practice speaking, improve your grammar, expand your vocabulary, or simply become more comfortable having conversations in Japanese, I will create lessons that match your level and learning style.
Many students tell me they enjoy my positive and relaxed teaching style because they feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I believe that building confidence is just as important as learning grammar, and I always encourage my students to speak as much as possible during our lessons.
I also enjoy introducing Japanese culture, customs, everyday expressions, and natural phrases that are difficult to learn from textbooks. My goal is to help you sound more like a native speaker while also understanding how Japanese is actually used in daily life.
Outside of teaching, I am a professional motorsport driver and off-road rider. I have competed in drifting and rally events, and I enjoy traveling, camping, creating videos, and spending time with my dogs. If you're interested in Japanese car culture or motorsports, I'm always happy to chat about those topics too!
Whether you're learning Japanese for work, travel, anime, business, personal interest, or simply because you enjoy the language, I would love to help you achieve your goals.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your Japanese learning journey!
