I have been a teacher for 4 years with a background in elementary education. I work constantly everyday in my classroom to not only help students where they are struggling but also to create confidence in your students ability to succeed. I love to help students in areas that are struggling because it is the most rewarding thing to know that you are the reason a student has finally picked up reading for fun or who has finally learned to solve a multistep word problem.

I teach 5th grade math currently which is a culmination of all the elementary school math standards put together. I have a good background of math from kindergarten to 5th grade.

I not only have a teaching degree I also have a a background of creative writing, writing for screen, and writing specifically for academic areas. I'm 2 classes away from have a single subject authorization in English.

I love to work with any students at any level of learning. I thrive by encouraging students to work hard and find the strategy that best works for them in school. There are many ways to solve problems and I want to build your confidence in the learning strategy that works best for you!
