Hi! My name is Dr. Haley, and I’m an applied researcher and educator with experience tutoring high school, college, and graduate students in psychology, statistics, and research methods.

I earned my B.S. in Psychology and Biology from the University of Denver, where I was an honors student with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience. I later earned my PhD in Psychology in Evaluation & Applied Research Methods from Claremont Graduate University, where I served as a graduate teaching assistant for intermediate statistics, ANOVA, regression, research methods, and evaluation.

I can help with AP Psychology, Intro Psychology, Developmental/Child Psychology, research methods, statistics, program evaluation, survey design, and data interpretation. I also work with undergraduate and graduate students on research projects, including developing research questions, choosing methods or statistical tests, interpreting results, and thinking through thesis or dissertation methodology.

In my professional work, I lead applied research and evaluation projects in the education and nonprofit sector. I regularly use surveys, quantitative and qualitative methods, Excel, R, data visualization, and statistical analysis.

My tutoring style is patient, practical, and flexible. I like to work from whatever you’re actually using in class, such as notes, assignments, study guides, datasets, or a research project, and break things down until they make sense. My goal is to meet you where you are, figure out what will help you succeed, and make sure you leave with a stronger understanding of the material and more confidence for your next assignment or exam. I look forward to working with you!

Approved Subjects

Biology

Biology

I earned my Bachelor of Science with a double major in Biology and Psychology from the University of Denver, where I graduated with honors. My undergraduate studies provided a strong foundation in cellular and molecular biology, genetics, physiology, and other core biological sciences. I also hold a PhD in Psychology, which strengthened my understanding of scientific research, human behavior, and effective learning strategies. With experience tutoring high school and college students, I enjoy breaking down complex scientific concepts into clear, manageable explanations and adapting my approach to each student's learning style.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I hold a PhD in Psychology with a concentration in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods and have extensive experience working with data in both academic and professional settings. In my current role, I lead applied research and evaluation projects involving survey data, performance metrics, dashboards, statistical analysis, and translating complex findings into clear, actionable insights. I regularly work with tools such as Excel, R, and Power BI and can help students with cleaning data, choosing appropriate analyses, interpreting results, and presenting findings clearly. I also have experience teaching and tutoring statistics and research methods, so I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind the analysis rather than simply getting to an answer.
Microsoft 365

Microsoft 365

I use Microsoft 365 extensively in my professional work and throughout my academic and research experience. I regularly work with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and Power Automate to analyze data, automate workflows, create reports and presentations, organize information, and collaborate across teams. I’m especially comfortable helping students and professionals build practical skills in Excel, create clear documents and presentations, understand how Microsoft 365 tools work together, and use Power Automate to streamline repetitive tasks. My teaching style is patient and hands-on, and I focus on helping you understand how to use these tools confidently for your own real-world needs.
Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel

I use Excel extensively in my professional work for data analysis, reporting, performance tracking, survey analysis, and data visualization. I regularly work with formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data cleaning, charts, conditional logic, and organizing large datasets, and I also use Excel as part of automated workflows with tools such as Power Automate. I have experience teaching and tutoring students in statistics and research methods, so I focus on explaining not just which Excel feature to use, but why it works and how to apply it to your own problem. I’m comfortable helping both students and working professionals build practical Excel skills for school, research, and the workplace.
Microsoft PowerPoint

Microsoft PowerPoint

I have extensive experience using Microsoft PowerPoint to develop engaging, professional presentations in both academic and workplace settings. As a Senior Director of Evaluation & Insights with a PhD in Psychology, I regularly create executive-level presentations, research presentations, training materials, and data-driven reports for diverse audiences. My expertise includes slide design, visual storytelling, charts and data visualization, templates, animations, and organizing complex information into clear, compelling presentations. I also facilitate professional trainings and can help students build their PowerPoint skills, whether they are learning the basics or developing polished presentations for academic or professional use.
Psychology

Psychology

I hold a PhD in Psychology from Claremont Graduate University, with a concentration in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods. My graduate training included research methods, statistics, regression, ANOVA, survey research, mixed methods, longitudinal methods, and program evaluation. I also have experience tutoring high school and college students and served as a graduate teaching assistant for statistics, research methods, and evaluation courses. I enjoy helping students make sense of psychological research and complex concepts in a patient, approachable, and practical way.
Statistics

Statistics

I hold a PhD in Psychology with a concentration in Evaluation and Applied Research Methods. At Claremont Graduate University, I served as a graduate teaching assistant for statistics courses including Intermediate Statistics, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), Applied Multiple Regression, and Categorical Data Analysis. I have also tutored high school and college students and regularly use statistics in my professional work in applied research and evaluation. I enjoy breaking down statistical concepts step by step and helping students understand not only how to run an analysis, but how to choose the right approach and interpret the results with confidence.
