I am a teaching artist, MFA Otis College of Art and Design 2018. I began my teaching career in 2006 as Art Director and educator at an art center for artists with developmental disabilities. I teach Drawing and Color Theory at Chaffey Community College and have private students both online and in-person. My drawing course provides a foundation in art with a big focus on creative expression.

Generous and helped me troubleshoot
I've been struggling with Clip Studio Paint and had been trying to learn it on a tablet. Sitting side-by-side, Karim with his laptop and me with my tablet, I was able to figure out that I needed to be using the desktop version of the software!

We asked Karim to help our 9-year-old son to develop his overall drawing skills and encourage him to enjoy doing art. He had been working with Alex for the past 8monghts. Our son really enjoys his lessons with Karim. He is patient, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable, and he answers all his questions. He has been introducing him various techniques that he is so excited to use and teach me after the session. We look forward to more sessions with him!

Karim definitely teaches me how to use the adobe tools and it’s definitely helping me to understand it’s tools in photoshop and he is definitely telling me what to do and guiding me.
