I began tutoring for Oxford Tutoring Center, located in Riverside, CA. There, I taught as many as 20 students per week in a variety of classes with students ranging from age 8-18. After working there for a few years, I started my own business, tutoring privately in the student's home. In this position, I tutored about 6 students per week in the same subjects for the same range of ages.
As a tutor, I like to focus on the bigger picture of things: why it is so important that the student learns these concepts in order to keep building on them. Math is certainly a subject in which one topic builds on the next.
