I am an Education Specialist with a Master of Education in Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. I currently teach students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN) in a Special Day Class setting, and I am credentialed in Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN) while completing my add-on authorization in ESN. My background allows me to support a wide range of learners, from early elementary students developing foundational skills to older students working on advanced math concepts, including Algebra and Calculus.
I have over 8 years of experience working with students in both classroom and one-on-one settings. I began as a math tutor at the college level, supporting over 300 students, and later worked as a teacher in a therapeutic school setting serving students with significant behavioral and emotional needs. In my current role, I design and implement individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP, using data-driven strategies and structured supports to help students build both academic skills and independence. I have extensive experience adapting instruction for students with learning differences, attention challenges, and autism.
My tutoring approach is patient, structured, and highly individualized. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, using visual supports, guided practice, and real-world connections to build understanding and confidence. I believe that all students can succeed with the right support, and I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress at their own pace.
