Hi there, I'm Michael! I'm an undergraduate electrical engineering student at USC with a strong foundation in math, physics, and programming. I'm passionate about helping students truly understand STEM subjects rather than relying on memorization.
I have one year of formal tutoring experience through a work-study position, where I worked with elementary-level math students in a structured remote tutoring environment. In addition to this, I have spent multiple years tutoring classmates and friends in more advanced STEM courses, including calculus, physics, and programming.
Through my studies in electrical engineering, I have developed strong skills in subjects such as calculus (I-III), linear algebra, physics, C++, Python, MATLAB, and introductory circuit analysis. I am comfortable tutoring a wide range of math and STEM topics, from foundational algebra and geometry all the way through early college-level engineering coursework.
My teaching style is flexible and student-centered. I am comfortable working from structured lesson plans and long-term learning goals when needed, especially for ongoing tutoring, but I also adapt my approach in real time to focus on specific problem areas or homework challenges. My goal is to meet each student where they are and help them build both conceptual understanding and problem-solving confidence.
