I am an undergraduate Psychology student at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) with nearly four years of hands-on tutoring experience supporting children with diverse learning needs. I have worked primarily with students from kindergarten through 6th grade in one-on-one and small-group settings, both online and in person. My experience includes tutoring in reading, writing, math, and foundational skills, as well as working closely with children with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, speech delays, selective mutism, anxiety, and medical conditions such as diabetes.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to truly connect with students while meeting them where they are academically and emotionally. I use a patient, individualized, and strengths-based approach, breaking lessons into clear, manageable steps and using visual supports, repetition, and positive reinforcement to help students feel confident and capable. I have experience in structured programs, volunteer-based tutoring, and individualized instruction, which allows me to adapt quickly to each child’s learning style. I am deeply committed to helping students grow not only academically, but also in confidence, independence, and motivation.
