I completed my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and will be starting a Doctor of Physical Therapy program this fall. My academic background is heavily focused on anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and human movement, and I have consistently worked with these subjects in both coursework and clinical environments. Preparing for graduate-level education has strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and accurately.
I previously served as a Supplemental Instruction leader for Human Physiology, where I supported undergraduate students primarily between the ages of 18 and 22. I facilitated small-group review sessions and provided one-on-one support, helping students understand challenging material by focusing on conceptual understanding rather than memorization. I adapt my teaching style to the student, using simple explanations, visuals, and real-world examples to reinforce learning.
In addition to teaching, I have worked as a physical therapy aide and rehabilitation technician, which allows me to connect academic material to practical application. These experiences help me tutor anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology in a way that is approachable, structured, and relevant to students pursuing health-related fields.
