Hi, I’m Christina! I’m passionate about helping students succeed by making complex ideas clear and approachable. My greatest strength is breaking down difficult concepts into explanations that finally “click”—whether for a struggling student, a motivated learner, or someone preparing for the next step in their academic journey. I graduated from the University of Southern California with degrees in Philosophy and Gerontology, a minor in Cinematic Arts, and an M.A. in Cinematic Arts. My ten years of research experience includes work at the MIT AgeLab, the USC School of Cinematic Arts, and the USC Department of Psychology. Alongside research and design, I’ve gained extensive teaching experience at many levels. I’ve taught kindergarten classes, led one-on-one tutoring sessions, and worked with undergraduate and graduate students. This range has trained me to adapt to different learning styles and to support students with unique goals. Professionally, I’ve worked as a UX/UI Researcher and Designer for companies including Walt Disney Imagineering, Paramount Pictures, DC Comics, and Star Trek.

My tutoring often centers on writing projects, including essays, research papers, and personal statements, but I also love working in philosophy, psychology, and media studies. In philosophy, I can help with areas such as ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, logic, and philosophy of language and religion. In psychology, I support students studying research methods, development, cognition, social and abnormal psychology, and biological bases of behavior. With my background in film and media, I also enjoy teaching film history, cinematography, producing, and digital editing in Photoshop and Premiere.

Students describe me as approachable, supportive, and flexible. I strive to make learning less stressful by breaking down concepts clearly and encouraging confidence. If you’d like help with writing, philosophy, psychology, or media, I’d be excited to work with you.
