Hi there, I’m Sammy!

I earned my BA in Film and Television from Boston University, started in the mailroom at WME, and worked my way up as Jason Blum’s assistant before co-producing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the Knuckles TV series for Paramount+. I went on to become a Creative Executive at Columbia Pictures (Sony), and today I’m an independent genre producer in West Hollywood. That whole path has been one long education in a single question: what makes a story actually work?

For the past year I’ve been teaching that exact thing in a screenwriting lab, working with adult writers one-on-one and in small groups, building each session around a specific piece of the craft. I love this stuff, and I love watching a writer figure out the thing their script has been trying to be the whole time. I’m a coach who genuinely cares, and my job is to bring the best story out of you — not to hand you a verdict and walk away.

My approach is character-first. Plot is what happens; story is who it happens to and why it matters to them. I’ll give you deep, honest analysis of your pages and real support for your project, whether you’re outlining a first feature, stuck in a messy second act, prepping a pilot, or want a true read before you send your script out. I bring high standards and real industry experience, but I keep the room encouraging and fun, because that’s where good writing actually happens.
