As a person in my 70s I was hesitant to begin learning a new language. I've been learning Korean with Yunhee for a little while now, and every session has been fantastic! She's incredibly friendly, patient, and explains things clearly, which makes even the tricky parts of the language easier to understand. However, make no mistake, she will push and motivate you. Yunhee also customizes lessons to fit my goals and interests, which keeps me motivated and excited to learn. I’ve seen real progress in my speaking and listening skills thanks to her support. I highly recommend Professor Yunhee's Korean classes! She is the best language teacher I have ever experienced. Step by step grammar breakdown with patience and care. She will have you practicing what you learn using themes and subjects relevant to your interests. Her teaching style utilizes Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development, which means she will push you to perform slightly above your limitations. This style of learning has helped me improve my Korean tremendously. I cannot recommend her enough. Hi Everyone! If you are looking for a tutor that can customer your lessons to fit your needs, then she is the tutor for YOU! I have been taking lessons with Yunhi for over a year. Whether you need to go slow or fast, she can accommodate your speed. Not only will she help you with well thought out lessons, but she also will provide you with resources. Since she is native to Korea, she will also help you to use native dialect, words, and speaking if you plan to visit. She is extremely flexible in her teaching. She is also very positive and makes you feel good about your learning even if you feel like you are struggling. I highly recommend using her as a tutor.

Favorite Lesson!
Yunhee is teaching me Hangul characters (vowels, consonants, compound vowels, etc.), reading words within a phrase, asking questions, and answering based on CVC/CV word endings. I LOVE how Yunhee color-codes the words and phrases so I can differentiate between word/phrase/sentence parts. She's super helpful in class and teaches in a way that's easy to understand! I appreciate how she listens to what helps me learn (visuals and colors) and incorporates that into our lessons so I can understand and retain the information. Yunhee is helping me accomplish the foundations of learning Korean letters/sounds while building my vocabulary and conversational sentences to achieve my learning goals.
