Hello! My name is Edmund, and I am passionate about helping students understand challenging concepts, build confidence, and achieve their academic goals.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomolecular Engineering and a minor in Bioinformatics. I am also an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor, and nursing student. Through my healthcare, leadership, and technology experience, I have developed a strong foundation in biology, anatomy and physiology, mathematics, computer science, and problem-solving.

My goal as a tutor is not simply to help students memorize information, but to help them truly understand the material. Whether you are struggling with anatomy and physiology, biology, mathematics, programming, or healthcare-related coursework, I work with students to identify areas of difficulty, break complex topics into manageable pieces, and develop effective study strategies that lead to long-term success.

I understand that every student learns differently. Some students need concepts explained from a different perspective, while others benefit from practice problems, diagrams, real-world examples, or step-by-step guidance. I tailor each session to the individual student's learning style, goals, and pace.

My experience includes teaching and mentoring students and adult learners in classroom, small-group, and one-on-one settings. Through my work with the American Red Cross and healthcare organizations, I have developed strong communication skills and a passion for helping others learn and grow.

Whether you need help preparing for an exam, completing assignments, improving study habits, understanding difficult concepts, or building confidence in a subject, I am committed to helping you succeed.

EMT/ NREMT

EMT/ NREMT

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), I have been actively working in emergency medical services for over 9 years, with experience in 9-1-1 emergency response, interfacility transport (IFT), clinical EMT roles, and event medicine. Throughout my career, I have provided patient assessment, treatment, and care in a wide variety of medical situations, ranging from routine medical transports to large public events and emergency incidents. I successfully passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examination on my first attempt and have a strong understanding of the knowledge and skills required to succeed in EMT training and certification. I am also an American Red Cross BLS Instructor and teach CPR, AED, and lifesaving skills to healthcare providers and community members. In my role as an Operations Chief for medical response operations, I train, mentor, and support first responders during large-scale events and emergency response activities. My background includes patient assessment, airway and respiratory emergencies, cardiology and resuscitation, trauma management, medical emergencies, EMS operations, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology, allowing me to help students master key NREMT concepts, apply critical thinking in patient care scenarios, and build confidence for both exams and real-world EMS practice.
