I’ve always enjoyed helping students discover that math can be much more approachable than it seems at first. My academic background allows me to explain concepts like algebra, geometry, and calculus in clear and simple ways that make sense for younger learners. I’ve worked with both middle and high school students on topics ranging from pre-algebra to AP Calculus. Every student learns differently, so I like to start by understanding their strengths and challenges before creating a personalized plan that fits their pace. During sessions, I focus on explaining ideas step-by-step, breaking down tricky problems, and helping students recognize patterns and connections. I also teach strategies that encourage critical thinking and independent problem-solving.
Most of my tutoring takes place one-on-one online, allowing me to give personal attention and adapt lessons to each student’s learning style. I typically work with students aged 12 to 18 and keep parents updated on progress and goals. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them build confidence and develop a genuine appreciation for learning math.
