I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, and I am now studying as a medical student at Loma Linda University. During my undergraduate years, I found a natural inclination and passion for chemistry. I started tutoring for chemistry courses and teaching chemistry labs for groups of 10+ students. Now, for over 3 years, I've tutored both high school and collegiate students, both in-person and online.
My teaching style relies heavily on visuals and examples. In my experience tutoring, I've found that, for chemistry, visuals best teach the concept. Understanding the fundamental concepts, to me, is the most valuable part of learning. I won't relent on teaching a concept until I see you've understood it, which may mean I may throw the problem at you so many ways that you get dizzy. I might talk until I'm blue in the face, but until you learn the material, I am not going to give up. I'll help you break down complex problems into easy-to-understand steps, giving you the confidence and problem-solving skills to excel once you hit your tests. I want you to succeed even without my assistance.
