I would like to introduce myself. I love helping learners achieve their goals! I’ve been involved in outreach and mentor programs with kids and teens when in High School and College. I’ve taught 14 years in 3rd-8th grade public classroom, three years in the Adult English and high school diploma program and 10 years in a chartered homeschool program.

Also I’ve tutored for 12 years while being a teacher, designing programs that fit ESL students and those needing advanced Reading and Writing skills. I try to give a fun spin to learning, to listen, be a confidence builder. I am creative with students and make our sessions individualized, to suit interests and learning styles that help them gain the most understanding and engagement in their studies. Plus I love to find fun while working hard. Most of all, I want students I work with to see that working hard and perseverance in studies provides by far the most paths to an exciting, rewarding life.

I explain difficult concepts like grammar and vocabulary in easy to understand ways. I have taught ESL students of all ages for most of my 14 years in the classroom. I appreciate students of different cultures and enjoy incorporating diversity into our conversations and learning. I have taught enjoyed reading since I was 7 and even then was helping other students in my classrooms to read. :-) . I write poetry and short stories and have had my articles published.
