I hold a B.S. in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology from UCLA, graduating cum laude with a major GPA of 3.98 and a cumulative GPA of 3.92. My academic journey has been rigorous and rewarding, particularly during my research tenure at Dr. Salmon’s Lab, where I contributed to groundbreaking cancer research. This experience honed my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of complex scientific concepts, which I aim to impart to my students.

I have over three years of tutoring experience, teaching math to K-12 students both in-person and online. My teaching journey began at Mathnasium, where I helped students from grades 1-12 overcome their fear of math and develop a genuine interest in the subject. I have also tutored college students in subjects such as trigonometry, pre-calculus, algebra 1 and 2. My approach involves the Socratic method, encouraging students to think critically and independently. Additionally, I have volunteered as a Farsi tutor, helping Iranian American children improve their language skills, and as a piano instructor, organizing Persian music recitals. These diverse teaching experiences have equipped me with the ability to connect with students of various ages and backgrounds, fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Through my work at the Persian Society for Community Outreach and other volunteer activities, I have demonstrated my commitment to community service and cultural promotion. My ability to organize and lead, coupled with my teaching experience, makes me a well-rounded tutor capable of addressing the unique needs of each student. My educational background and hands-on experience ensure that I am well-prepared to help students achieve their academic goals and build their confidence in their abilities.
