I have five years experience working with ADHD/ ADD learners. I help develop the underlying skills kids need to become more independent in school and to pay attention. Tutoring sessions include strategies covering organization, project planning, note-taking, and practice applying comprehension and writing skills to longer projects. I have 15 years experience tutoring children in a variety of subjects, including math, reading, history and Spanish from grades K-1. My tutoring experience spans working with children attending public and private school, in Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and most recently Contra Costa.

My undergraduate and graduate studies were compromised mainly of cultural anthropology studies, in which I studied under some of the most prominent cultural anthropologists. I have supported students in their college admissions process for the past 2 years. I guide students in finding college fit, support them in their college essays, provide key advice for extracurricular actives/volunteer, guide students through college recommendations, and provide transcript review. I believe is supporting the student and parent/guardian through this major life decision. I am finishing up the College Admissions and Career Counseling certificate program at UC Berkeley Extension and am a member of IECA.

I have 15 years experience tutoring children in a variety of subjects, including math, reading, history and Spanish from grades K-12; five of those 15 years have been spent working predominantly with children diagnosed with ADHD. Through working with children and families in a variety of settings, I've been able to develop a strong sense of what each individual child needs to reach academic success.
