Wonderful Japanese Tutor in the Bay Area
Mamiko Sensei is a wonderful tutor who was able to quickly identify my strength and weakness in Japanese and tailor each lesson to meet my needs. I appreciated her goal setting which has increased my confidence in my command of Japanese. Mamiko sensei was great in explaining Japanese from the complex grammatical rules to the colloquial phrases. I appreciated how she begins the lesson with a discussion of current events and general conversation in Japanese -- something you won't find in a structured course at the community college. Overall, I feel much more prepared and really appreciate her patience and diligence in improving my Japanese. I highly recommend her as a Japanese tutor to any student at all levels in the Bay Area.

Mamiko Sensei has been an incredibly helpful tutor who not only has help me better my Japanese, but as also gotten me more curious about Japanese in a Linguistic perspective. She's incredibly adaptive in her tutoring style and has even been willing to experiment with different ideas for tutoring and teaching. She's also been very receptive to a lot of my questions (especially the ones above my skill level) and because of her abilities to explain the more complex with easy to understand definitions and examples; I've become less intimidated whenever I approach more complex aspects of the language. Mamiko Sensei is an excellent tutor who is adaptable, knowledgeable, and the impact she'll leave on you will be felt after every lesson. As I am living proof of such.

Excellent AP Japanese tutor
My daughter was really anxious about the upcoming AP Japanese test but luckily we found Mamiko. She is so kind and has been a fantastic guide in teaching my daughter AP Japanese. My daughter feels much more confident now. If you need an AP Japanese tutor, I highly recommend Mamiko.

Accommodating, patient, and encouraging
I wish she was my actual teacher, because she has helped me so much with JA2. I really think I would've failed this class I have without her! She's super accommodating with my dyslexia, and never fails to say the right thing if I get discouraged. She's wonderful at her job, and a definite need if you're falling behind in your Japanese class.
