I have a strong interdisciplinary educational background that bridges the humanities, law, and public health. I earned a BA in English and a BA in Philosophy from Grove City College, where I developed a deep foundation in critical reading, analytical thinking, and persuasive writing. I went on to receive my Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, followed by a Master of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. This combination of degrees allows me to approach writing and problem-solving with both rigor and flexibility, drawing on multiple ways of thinking and communicating.
My teaching and tutoring experience spans both secondary and post-graduate education. I have tutored first-year law students in legal writing, focusing on the skills required to produce clear, persuasive, and accurate legal documents and briefs. This work emphasized precision, structure, and argument development, as well as helping students learn how to translate complex ideas into effective written advocacy. In addition, I tutor high school students in English essay writing, supporting them in developing strong theses, organizing their ideas, and writing with clarity and confidence.
Across all contexts, I have worked primarily in one-on-one tutoring settings, allowing me to tailor my approach to each student’s needs, learning style, and goals. My teaching style is structured yet supportive, with an emphasis on critical thinking, close reading, and clear communication. I am able to tutor in writing, law, public health, and essay writing, and I aim to help students not only improve individual assignments but also build durable skills they can carry forward into future academic and professional work.
