Hi, I’m Jane! My earliest memory of teaching was helping my peers in the second grade spell difficult words. Since then I have tutored and coached individuals in reading and writing in a variety of settings, including private sessions, SAT prep programs and the corporate environment.
I graduated cum laude with a BA in English, and hold an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management. I received perfect scores on the SAT writing and GMAT Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA). For 5+ years, I worked at Amazon, which is known for its document culture. I wrote numerous papers that resulted in projects being funded, and proposals getting approved. In addition, I coached other employees on business writing, and earned a reputation as the purveyor of the mini-English degree.
I enjoy helping students build their critical thinking and written communication skills. These are foundational skills that can be utilized in so many areas of life! I will be a supportive tutor and help you increase your confidence. Please note that I am currently offering virtual tutoring only.
In my free time, I love practicing yoga (I’m also a RYT-200 certified instructor!) and hanging out with my rescue dog.
