Hello! My name is Albert, and I am a high school student at a highly selective high school with a strong academic record, including all A’s in my courses. I scored a 1580 on the SAT, including a perfect 800 on the Math section, which has given me a strong understanding of both the content and the strategies needed to succeed on the exam. Because I have studied through both integrated math and traditional math pathways, I am comfortable helping students with a wide range of topics, including elementary math, middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and SAT Math.

I understand that every student learns differently, so my tutoring approach is patient, clear, and personalized. For younger students, I focus on building confidence and strengthening their foundations by explaining concepts step by step, checking for understanding, and helping them see the reasoning behind each method rather than simply memorizing formulas. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and improving at their own pace.
For SAT Math students, I use a more targeted approach. I help students identify their strengths, weaknesses, and score goals, then create a tailored study plan based on the specific skills they need to improve. This may include reviewing core math concepts, practicing common SAT question types, learning time-management strategies, and developing methods for avoiding careless mistakes. Since I recently went through the SAT process myself and earned a perfect Math score, I can explain not only the math content, but also the test-taking strategies that helped me perform well.

My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and productive learning environment where students can grow steadily and gain confidence. I am happy to work with students who need help catching up, students who want to get ahead, and students preparing for the SAT.
