I can help with Python programming, ML/AI coursework, model intuition, data analysis, linear algebra, probability, calculus, and related concepts.

I graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on signal processing. I later earned my Master’s from Imperial College London, where I taught second-year students calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra. I have also tutored with Greater London Tutors and Holland Park Tuition.

Before my PhD, I co-founded a startup in Colorado and worked as an Entrepreneur Fellow at a biotechnology accelerator. These experiences help me connect technical ideas to practical, real-world problems.

I love helping students reach the “aha” moment when a difficult concept finally clicks. I’ve struggled through challenging STEM courses myself, so I understand where students get stuck and how to explain ideas clearly and intuitively. I’ve taken enough mathematics coursework to nearly complete a math major, and I especially enjoy showing how abstract math connects to programming, data, engineering, and real-world applications.

My goal is for every student to leave a session with the questions they came in with answered. I’m happy to go the extra mile to make sure you understand not just how to solve a problem, but why the solution works.

I also tutor algebra, chemistry, physics, calculus, differential equations, linear algebra, statistics, engineering, and programming. Feel free to contact me with questions or to schedule a session.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I use Algebra 2 in most every situation with math in my job (biomedical engineer). I can help students learn the basics that will help them master complex problems in the future.
Calculus

Calculus

I am a recent Masters of Biomedical Engineering graduate of Texas A&M University and have used calculus throughout my entire college career. In addition, I received a 4 on the AP Calculus BC test while in high school, and further added to that base of knowledge in college by not choosing to not skip any of the calculus courses at Texas A&M University. I can help the students here with the same homework and classes that I took as a freshman and sophomore, and help give relevant examples of how they work in the real (engineering) world.
Linear Algebra

Linear Algebra

I took linear algebra 3 years ago at Texas A&M and have used it in a wide variety of fields, from signal processing in electrical engineering to multivariate statistics. I used it regularly in research at Imperial College London and taught it to undergraduate students at the school.
MATLAB

MATLAB

I have programmed many projects using MATLAB. I created a heart monitor analyzing program in MATLAB and have most recently used it with machine learning applications. I feel very proficient with MATLAB.
Physics

Physics

I have taken both TAMU Physics classes (218 & 208) and have done well in both of them. I understand the difficulty that goes into learning these subjects and can help students get over that initial learning curve and do well in their classes.
Python

Python

I use Python extensively in my PhD research in machine learning and AI at UC Irvine, including developing models, analyzing data, and building research code. My work has been published at leading machine learning conferences including NeurIPS, ICML, and UAI. I can help students with Python fundamentals, debugging, object-oriented programming, data analysis, scientific computing, and Python for machine learning. I also have extensive teaching and tutoring experience and focus on explaining both how the code works and the underlying concepts.
Statistics

Statistics

I have taken a wide variety of statistics classes, from biostatistics to industrial engineering statistics, and have applied to data analyst jobs and biomedical engineering research. Sufficient knowledge to pass a Six Sigma yellow belt training course. Know a bit about multivariate statistics and machine learning applications that I can help with. Currently involved in using statistics for my contract work.

Patient, articulate, and helpful! Helped me with Differential Equations.

Vincent helped me with my college class, Linear Algebra & Differential Equations. Broke down every step of how you should approach a problem in an easy manner and made my life easier by a thousand times. Not even that but he's very knowledgable in undergraduate/graduate mathematics and will implicitly comprehend the theory of a math problem and also teach you that so you know why it's important. He was patient and super kind too so I didn't even feel an ounce of stress during our lesson. Strongly recommend him for college level mathematics if you have difficult undergraduate math courses that are confusing you.

Highly Recommend

Vincent tutored me through my entire semester of college level calculus and chemistry and really helped me learn the material. I have always needed help when it comes to mathematics, but not only did he help me learn calculus, he helped me understand it. He always explained things as many times and in as many different ways as it took for me to understand the material. Vincent also helped to develop better study habits by encouraging me to think through problems and explain topics for a better understanding. In addition, he regularly used his experience to apply the ideas and concepts in ways that made their uses and value was much more apparent. Not only did I get an "A" in both chemistry and calculus, I also appreciate calculus and its applications more than I previously did and have an excellent base to build my understanding going forward in both subjects. If I could get him as a tutor for any future classes, I would do it. I highly recommend Vincent as a tutor for anyone in need of STEM tutoring.

He was a knowledgeable tutor in linear algebra and physics . He was very helpful.

Have requested a second session with him to work further on linear algebra and physics, with homework assignments. In the future I would like to prepare for tests and quizzes with his tutoring guidance.
