Letter of Recommendation for Tuesday Connor
I’ve known Tuesday for approximately a year, working as her assistant and intern. I can recommended her enthusiastically based on her work as a professional costumer, as a teacher/ mentor, and personally. Tuesday has found in her work a unique space between theatrical costuming, film design, and private custom made. The skills she brings from all these fields make her valuable, and well qualified for position.
As a designer, she has a strong design and character sense. She brings a strong background in professional theater and fashion history, making even elaborate period shows look precise and accurate. Her concepts reflect and enhance character, period and tone, from modern comedies, to period Chekhov, to dressing music personalities for tours.
Her custom made work is meticulous, coming to the field with a fine tailoring background, cutting edge creativity, and a decade of experience. Her work is precise, efficient, and refined. Having run her own business, she is well aware of budgeting issues, time management, and tracking expenses. She can and does multitask well, seeing the big picture, while addressing the details.
In her role as teacher- where I know her best- she excels. She passes along valuable tips when needed, showing the big picture and then breaking it down. She treats her students with respect for their intelegence and the skills have. Never patronizing, never to busy to answer a question, she encourages us to push our skills and learn while doing. She has an inherent trust in her students and it is reflected in the responsibility she gives us, and the quality finished results.
On a personal level she is a joy to work with, patient and calm, introducing a relaxed vibe and sense of humor to every project. Tuesday is at ease and professional with actors, directors, and administrators, staying calm and focused in font of nervous actors, or keeping the energy up with a fading film crew. She is loyal to her clients and attentive to the unique needs of each customer/ project.
She is a joy to work with and would definitely be an asset to your program. I recommend her without reservation. Please do not hesitate to call if you have further questions.
