Hi! I love learning and teaching. For 10+ years I've worked as a Studio Teacher, teaching kids who work in the Entertainment Business — on TV shows, movies, advertisements, etc. Any time a minor works on a school day, they are required to get three hours of school. Hi! I love learning and teaching. For 10+ years I've worked as a Studio Teacher, teaching kids who work in the Entertainment Business — on TV shows, movies, advertisements, etc. Any time a minor works on a school day, they are required to get three hours of school. I help my students with whatever curriculum they bring in from their regular schools, so I am accustomed to teaching all subjects and all grades in a variety of ways, and I must be quick to adapt. The job is essentially that of a tutor. Plus whether it's a school day or not, I am responsible for making sure productions follow all the labor laws as they pertain to minors.
I have California credentials to teach middle school and high school, and my high school credential is in History / Social Science. I also specialize in teaching Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Trig, Geometry), and preparing students for math sections of tests like the SATs. I have experience working with younger kids, developing their reading and spelling, and I've helped many elementary and high school students with essay writing, test prep, and any other English Language Arts needs.
I get along well with my students and excel at finding ways to connect curriculum to their lives and interests. Students like working with me, and I believe my passion for learning has a really positive influence.
