Once I shifted my focus from grades to genuinely connecting with what I was learning, my academic performance improved.
This shift in mindset is at the core of my approach as a tutor. Success isn’t just about memorizing facts or getting high marks—it’s about developing a deeper understanding of the material and being open to learning, even when it’s challenging. I have four years of tutoring experience, working with both high school and college students in writing, English, government, economics, and various history specialties. I spent four years working at my university’s library, tutoring students one-on-one and in small groups, on how to research/analysis, write papers, and complex topics in government and history. I enjoyed helping students overcome anxiety, build confidence, and improve academically.
